About Deborah Onoja

Deborah Onoja is a passionate Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nutrition & Dietetics obtained from Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. She qualified as a Registered Dietitian after completing her Dietetic Internship training at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu where she was exposed to clinical dietetics. She also holds a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition and Diet Therapy from the University of Ibadan.

She has consulted some reputable hospitals in Nigeria including Rainbow Specialist Medical Center, Lekki Lagos, Premier Specialist Medical Center Lagos, Emel Hospitals, Reddington Multispecialist Hospital Lagos where she prepared and represented the Dietetics and Food Service units at the Council for Health Service Accreditation of Southern Africa ( COHSASA) ‘s 2014 accreditation audit.

She is currently the Lead Dietitian Of Sapphire Nutrition & Diet Consulting (Sapphire Dietitians) and Consulting Nutritionist-Dietitian For JBS Medicare Services.

She has a wealth of knowledge and experience from her over 10 years practice in the nutrition and diet sector.

Deborah is passionate about combating Malnutrition, preventing Non-communicable diseases (diabetes, obesity, cancer, depression, cardiovascular diseases and chronic respiratory diseases ) through Nutrition and helping patients adopt healthier dietary habits.
