Here are some ways to build a strong mental immune system:

Reach out – Don’t put relationships on the back burner. Instead, identify simple, realistic ways to reach out and actively build connection into your daily life so you don’t feel alone.

Stay optimistic – There’s no night that doesn’t end in a dawn! Spend a few minutes every day actively visualising positive outcomes.

Accept yourself – Identify your most positive qualities and expect that you can meet the goals you have set out for yourself.

When you accept yourself, both strengths and weaknesses of your personality, you manage your emotions better, and maintain a positive view of your prospects in life.

Practice mindfulness – A 2016 study published in the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences notes that mindfulness mediation appears to be associated with reductions in pro-inflammatory processes, increases in cell-mediated defense parameters, and increases in enzyme activity that guards against cell ageing.
